I suspect that many of you reading this article came to this platform to learn more about energetic limiters. For one reason or another, this is one of the concepts I've become best known for, and it always seems to drum up a lot of interest. While I do think this is a useful concept for profiling athletes and identifying some low hanging fruit that you can go after in their training, it's not the only we need to be concerned about. We can't neglect sport specific limitations, nor can we neglect the fact that an energetic limiter is just one part of an integrated system that needs to be trained in all of it's capacities.

A common misconception is that in a limitation based training model you only need to train the limiter to drive performance. For example, if you’re a delivery limited athlete you just need to improve delivery in order to perform better. That is a mistake.
